Unity Is Strength - Short Stories.
The phrase, “ Unity is Strength ”, is more than just a proverb. It has been proven since the beginning of mankind. When divided, individuals have failed in achieving what they had aspired. But together, they have been able to conquer a lot more.Professor Maqsood Jafri Unity is strength. When the sand grains unite they become a vast desert. When the sea drops unite they become a boundless ocean. The conglomeration of stars in the firmament of sky soothes our eyes.It is only through the strength of unity that we can fight off an attacker of ourselves. Let us take an instance from the animal world. Even lions hunt in packs; the lion is the leader of a pack of females who engage in the hunting and defend the pride when it is threatened.
A bird catcher went to the forest. He took with him a net for catching birds. He spread the net on the ground. He took some rice and threw it on the net.The king heard the chief Minister’s story and understood that unity has great strength. The chief Minister further told him that great is the country whose people remain united. If people fight among themselves, the country does not prosper and its enemies get a chance to attack and defeat it.
When the native land is attacked by any outside enemy, it is not a single or a few people’s job to fight the enemy. It is the collective force of all the countrymen to fight out the evil. Thus unity is always proved to be a great source of strength. It is really like an invincible constructive or destructive performance.
